My name is Robert Michael Hanson. I am 23 years old, and a Sergeant in the Marine Corps Reserve. I was born 12/25/1982 in Waterloo Iowa. I grew up all over the East and Midwest, eventually graduating high school in Corning, NY. I enlisted in the Marine Corps Active Duty in August 2001. I was in boot camp when our towers fell, so it never seemed real to me (I never got to see it until November 2001)
I invaded Iraq with Task Force Tarawa, 2d Marine Expeditionary Brigade. I extended by choice that deployment with Task Force 3/23. Upon returning stateside, I attached to the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, and trained work ups to another 7 month deployment with the MEU in the Triangle of Death.
After returning for the last time in Feb 2005, I seperated from the Marine Corps, and began work with Titan Systems as a defence communications contractor. I still work for L3 - Titan, as we support the Large Deck Command and Control fleet.
